A couple of photos of my work from the recent Propeller show. There were a bunch of great artists displaying their artwork and truly tons of talent. Hopefully some of these images will make it to next year, though I'm always surprised to see how much space they take up as a series of seven (four of which aren't shown from the bottom row). Thanks.

First attempt at painting Megaman.... FAILED
So as the title explains the figure under the explosion-like thing is the first painting I did of Megaman. After the figure looking like a guy from Daft Punk, I decided to give up (on this canvas.. I've already finished it :D). Now i'm currently using this as a burn canvas (where I put all the extra paint I don't need anymore).

Drawings...unfinished
Some recent pencil work. I've been trying to shoot out at least one 20 x 30" drawing a week. Although still lacking a few details here and there, especially the dried creek bed, its good to go back to large scale pencil drawings rather than always having digital work straight from smaller sketches. Oh, and of course, my best pal.

personal paintings...
Here are some in-progress shots of the work I've been doing lately. Now since we don't want to be showing completed pieces until the gallery, this will have to do. The first is of myself at nine months old and the second is of my big sis at about five. I've had to rely heavily on Photoshop to even begin working from 25 year old slides, but doing so has been more fun than I would have imagined, and certainly makes one feel a lot older!

Light Guitaring
This is a stop-motion video that I did. You'll notice that the person in the video has a different t-shirt compared to the song. For me it didn't matter what t-shirt he wore, it was all about the movement and lighting of the figure in relation to the song. Sorry I had to get that off my chest cause I got flack for it. Enjoy!
